There’s apparently some show on TV claiming that orange is the new black? Well we’ve got news for you. Vantablack is the new black. Created by a UK nanotech company, Surrey Nanosystems, the world’s blackest-ever material has been made using carbon nanotubes. Whatever that really is but apparently the process has been around since the 90s and every few years a deeper black has been invented.
The new material absorbs up to 99.96% of incoming radiation, including visible light meaning no light can emerge from the material. If you were wearing a Vantablack dress or shirt, it’s so dark it’d look almost two-dimensional from most angles. A whole new meaning to all black everything.
